Signs of spring
Room 7 went on a spring walk. We saw lots of different signs of spring including daffodils, cherry blossoms, buds on trees and green leaves. - Blake and Lily D.

Room 7 were delighted to win the #NoMorePlasticPaddy competition. Thank you to all the parents for helping us to minimise single use plastics in our lunchboxes and thank you to Mr. Hannon for organising the competition and giving us our reward #icecream.

meeting an author
As part of our World Book Day and Readathon celebrations we got to meet the author Emma-Jane Leeson. We really enjoyed listening to Emma-Jane reading some of her stories about Johnny Magory from the series The Adventures of Johnny Magory. We learnt lots of interesting facts about Irish wildlife and landscape, she even brought us in some turf from the bog!

STEM Activities

The children have been combining their coding skills with their mental maths in this game during maths stations. They roll 3 dice, add the numbers together and then programme their Beebot to travel to the correct answer. This activity requires the use of many skills and problem solving strategies to be successful!

We loved visiting the Science Fair. We saw lots of our brothers and sisters. We had great fun!
