Our 5th Class Students wowed the judges from the Intel Mini Scientist Competition in November 2025.
There were a wide variety of projects focusing on all areas of science from robotics to dental hygiene, the science of golf to Virtual Reality, Musical fruit to water purifiers- Scoil Mochua had it all!
The judges were treated to beautiful and fascinating projects that were scientifically rooted and the standard did not disappoint. Our Big Hall was transformed into a exhibition of talent and creativity for the day and we are so proud of what they achieved.
While everyone did excellently on the day, and clearly worked so hard, a huge congratulations to Eliza-Jane Reilly from Room 18 on taking the coveted first prize with her organic watercolours project. This project was truly unique and Eliza Jane was able to explain the science of it and why she chose to do it so well. Well done Eliza-Jane!
