This much-loved event, in memory of our former Principal, Paul Ryan, took place over the last two weeks.
All children from 4th, 5th and 6th classes formed the teams for the GAA tournament, representing a range of counties, managed by the teachers!
This tournament is a wonderful, fun, inclusive event, with a good healthy element of competition,
especially in the staffroom!
Huge congratulations to all the teams who took part this year but in particular Kerry and Mayo who battled it out in one of the best finals we’ve ever seen!
With only a few points in the difference, Kerry won on the day!
Congratulations to Mr. O’Grady who led the team to victory.
Congratulations also to the 6 children who won awards for excellence throughout the tournament:
Lauren Costigan, Cian Clear, Saoirse Lally, Joshua McGuirk, Amelia Turley and Stephen Power.
Many thanks to Mr Hannan for coordinating the Paul Ryan Cup, and to all the teachers who managed the teams.
