Flag raising ceremony 2018
We were very happy and proud to have our Active Flag renewed this week. The Active Flag Committee, together with Mr. Costello, worked tirelessly on this over the past year.
To celebrate, we invited past pupil and Irish Soccer Star, Tiegan Ruddy to help us raise the flag. Tiegan was joined by Michael Adams. Michael is the very proud winner of a bronze medal from this year's Special Olympic Ireland Games. We are honoured that they both took time out from their busy schedules to join us in our celebrations. We would also like to thank them both for inspiring our students with their attitude, commitment and dedication to their chosen sports.

The Active Flag Committee would like to thank Frank O Rourke TD for coming in and speaking to them. The AF Committee explained to Frank that the yard space is far too small in Scoil Mochua.
They asked Frank to help them by working towards securing more yard space and for the grass on the green to be cut shorter to be used for School activities like sports day.
